Concert with the Composer

On Saturday, October 18, Glenshaw Presbyterian Church will host its first Concert with the Composer. This event will include a 2 day choral workshop and concert at 3:00 p.m. with nationally known choral composer and arranger, Pepper Choplin.

In preparation for the workshop and concert, there will be a rehearsal of seven of Pepper Choplin's anthems on Sunday, October 12 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The choral workshops will run on Friday, October 17 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., then continue on Saturday, October 18 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.

What is unique and exciting about this event is that Pepper will also perform two of his own compositions; he is very talented as a singer, guitarist, and pianist.

Members of choirs throughout the community are welcome to participate, but they must be present for all rehearsals to sing in concert. A fee of $25 will be required to pay for the workshop, all music, and a luncheon catered at Glenshaw Presbyterian Church on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
