Children > LOGOS
One of our spiritual growth programs at GPC is called LOGOS. During the months of September through April, it is held each Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in several rooms within the main church building.
LOGOS translated means "the Word", and it is a program that reaches out to everyone and involves the nurturing of our youth and children through Recreation & Play, Bible Study, Worship Skills and Family Time. It is a midweek program held on Wednesdays that includes families of the church, our GPC members, and friends and families in the community.
Our goal is to provide a nurturing Christian experience to all children and youth, while building relationships between young people, adults and God.
Each week, the young people will be gathering for Bible study, singing, games, a dinner that includes a new theme each week (such as Crazy Shoe night), and a time for everyone to have fun while getting to know one another as members of the family of God.
The success of this ministry depends on the help of every family involved, as well as all GPC members. Parents must attend a meeting and will be asked to participate in the program using their talents and gifts. This can include anything from teaching, phone calling, theme decorating, sharing hobbies and interests, or clean up.
This ministry is being funded by those who participate. This means that there is a minimal cost involved of $35 per semester with a multiple child discount. Scheduled payments can be arranged and scholarships are available.
