Presbyterian Women

The purpose of Presbyterian Women is to nurture faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Every woman within Glenshaw Presbyterian Church is a member of the GPC chapter of Presbyterian Women and is welcome at the meetings or to join in one of our circles.

Our coordinating team meets monthly to plan the activities and conduct the business of our chapter.

We have an annual rummage sale and three bake sales to support our mission work. Used clean clothing is shipped to Appalachian missions in Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia. We support local and worldwide projects through Presbyterian Women in the Pittsburgh Presbytery.

Circle members meet together on the third Tuesday of the month. Various activities are planned, including speakers who address subjects of interest and visits to our shut-ins. Each October, the women enjoy a retreat at Camp Crestfield. and, each December, a Christmas tea.
