Adult / Family Mission Trip

PURPOSE:

To serve those who are in need, in the name of Jesus Christ.
To build Christian community through service.
To deepen our faith in the context of service and teamwork.
To enjoy the blessings of Christian friendship and fellowship.

This summer, from July 8 - 14, we will be participating in our third annual GPC adult / family mission trip. We will be working again this year with members of two other Presbyterian churches to repair and renovate houses in the area surrounding Mars Hill, North Carolina.

Here is a video that Mike Hoyt put together from our 2010 trip that shows some of the work we did, the people we worked with and for, and some scenery from the surrounding area.

We encourage entire families, as well as individuals, to participate. Children of age will work alongside adults at the various work sites. Those children not old enough to participate will be supervised in a Bible School environment.

The cost will be $200 per person or $500 maximum per family. This cost includes food and lodging for the week at Mars Hill College.

Also, anyone planning to attend Katie Rankin and Mark Luczak's wedding at GPC is welcome to return early.
