Adult Mission Trip
- To serve those who are in need, in the name of Jesus Christ.
- To build Christian community through service.
- To deepen our faith in the context of service and teamwork.
- To enjoy the blessings of Christian friendship and fellowship.
In 2009, Shadyside Presbyterian Church commissioned nearly 30 people for a
mission trip to Mars Hill, North Carolina
and were joined by nearly 50 from two other churches.
10 members of GPC have committed to join this initiative and to work hand-in-hand with these congregations in 2010.

There will be a variety of projects with crew chiefs assigned to each.
The crew chiefs will assign and distribute the work based on priorities and the interests and skills of the workers.
Some team members will participate in
construction projects, while others may paint a women's shelter. In addition, others may practice the ministry of presence
as they visit those who simply need companionship.
We ask that you keep the trip participants, as well as those going on our
two youth mission trips,
in your prayers in the coming weeks.
